What our patients need to know

A live virtual consultation costs $60, and a submitted review with documented recommendations costs $30. In most cases, your dental insurance providers will cover all or most of the cost of the consult and you will only be charged your portion of the cost. Check your dental insurance policy to confirm coverage.

Not exactly. DigiBite dentists provide their best professional opinion based on the provided information from the oral health questionnaire, additional documents and photos, and their observations from the virtual consultation. However, a virtual consultation can never fully replace the value of in-person exams, x-rays, and treatment. A DigiBite dentist may recommend an in-person exam following your virtual consultation.

DigiBite recommends visiting your dentist in person twice annually for a routine cleaning and check-up. Preventive care is the best way to save money long-term, plus these visits are generally covered by your dental insurance. Check your dental insurance policy to confirm coverage.

Depending on where you live, your DigiBite dentist may be able to recommend in-person care near you. Be sure to check with your dental insurance provider to see if the recommended provider is covered by your insurance.

This does not happen often, but we understand that technical difficulties may occur on both ends, and we are here to help. Reach out to DigiBite support at [email protected], and we will help you resolve the issue.

If you scheduled a live virtual consultation:
You can cancel or reschedule your DigiBite live virtual consultation up to 24 hours before your scheduled time by clicking the Cancel/Reschedule button on the consultation details page. To cancel or reschedule your consultation within 24 hours of the scheduled time, please contact our support team at .
If you submitted a review:
You can cancel a request for review at any point before a dentist reviews your case. You will not be able to cancel once a dentist has reviewed your case.

Yes. Just like an in-person visit, the information you provide to DigiBite is protected by HIPAA, and all consultations are conducted via secure video connection. Your data is encrypted in our servers and delivered to your DigiBite dentist securely. In some instances, the information provided may be sent to your insurance carrier to resolve a claims issue, but we’ll notify you in advance if this is the case.

There are no specific requirements for a second opinion, but the more information you can provide to your DigiBite dentist, the better. We recommend uploading any x-rays or treatment plans from your initial visit to your consultation information before the virtual consultation. If you do not have these reports on hand while scheduling your consultation, you can always upload them prior to your consultation time on the My Consultations page within the DigiBite app.

We ask our dentists to finalize their reports within 24 hours of your live consultation or when your offline case is accepted. Generally, they are finalized much sooner. You will receive a notification when your virtual consultation report is ready to review and download.

No. All video conferencing services for real-time consultations used by DigiBite are accessed through the app.
